Jamie Straw is a comics maker and nature enthusiast based out of northeastern Pennsylvania. Although her work varies in genre and style, it is connected by themes of community, the natural environment, and mental health. When they aren't making comics, they can be found cuddling with their cats, drinking hot beverages, and wandering around in the woods.

Joyce Rice has been making comics and zines for over 20 years. She publishes nonfiction and science-fiction work about history, global warming, and her dog, Loretta. She dwells in a swamp in Gainesville, FL.

As The Day Comes Down by Vicco Naylor

Vicco is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Oakland, California. Through comics, they hope to highlight the nuances of dyke intimacies and imagine new and better worlds. Vicco has tabled at East Bay Alternative Book & Zine Fest, DIY Museum's Nuts and Bolts, Pride in Panels, and the NYC Feminist Zinefest. You can find them in the wild playing music or basking in the joys of intergenerational queer spaces. They are available for teaching film, writing, and/or comics.

Shuchi is an assistant professor in Illustration and Sequential Art/Comics at Kennesaw State University at their school of Art and Design. She is a freelancer for the New Yorker and runs her comic and basic animation workshops across California, Georgia and North Carolina.

Kwai is a digital comic artist from Hong Kong who loves drawing comics that cause unnecessary emotional distress in her readers because it gives her a feeling of connection and meaning. She is currently a student of the CCA MFA Comics program and is inspired mainly by her love of shojo manga and her interest in mental health and healing.

Space Cadet by Spunin

"Spunin" is a cartoonist and illustration undergrad. He grew up in the Philippines and enjoys writing stories and reading comics. He made Space Cadet during the pandemic for a comics contest but didn't end up placing. We have a quote with him now: "Sometimes I wake up and realize, oh man, I made that!" He's sent it in to Electric Squeak in order to "get over it."

Dimitrea Tokunbo is a comic artist rooted in her Brooklyn community and values her time growing with the folks at Harriet’s Apothecary, The Center for Anti-Violence Education, Park Slope Food Co-op, and The Brooklyn's Children's Museum. She’s had a few children’s books published with some other folks at Tilbury House, Boyds Mills Press, Scholastic Press.

Fossil Friends by Rodolfo Lopez

Rodolfo Enrique is a Puerto Rican animation major studying in California College of the Arts. He enjoys sketching dinosaur and fossils in museums, along with creating characters inspired by his Puerto Rican culture. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities like snorkeling, hiking, and birdwatching.

Bear Dream by Max Barnewitz

Max Barnewitz (they/them) is a cartoonist and educator from Salt Lake City. Max's experimental and autobiographical comics engage questions about identity and the natural world. Max finished their MFA in Comics from CCA in 2023 and now teaches illustration and comics in Utah. Max also helps organize Salt Lake City's annual underground comix and zine festival, Grid Zine Fest. Chillhop Raccoon’s Eternal Day Out by Lauren Davis

Lauren Davis is 1/3 of the Eisner-nominated magical girl team Triple Dream Comics. With Mel Hilario and Katie Longua, Lauren co-created the graphic novel “Debian Perl, Digital Detective” and the upcoming “Agent Cupcake.” Lauren also teaches comics, character design, animation, and digital sculpting, and many of her students belong in the funny pages. She lives in Berkeley with a tall human, a short human, and a rather flatulent Boxer.
