Content Warning: Nudity

Cover page: Title in hazy, almost transparent sans serif typeface surrounded by large glowing white moon, grayscale ink wash background with silhouette character standing on sand in front of a body of water. Author name in black lettering on the bottom right-hand corner of page

Page 1

Panel 1: Repeated imagery from the cover page with the moon slightly smaller and silhouetted figure tilting their head upwards towards the sky, holding their arms back. The figure narrates, “I can still smell the lake in my hair. The breeze tickling my skin. Cool.”

Panel 2: Close up of the silhouetted figure’s profile. She’s colored in black and white, smiling to herself. The figure continues her narration, “Inviting. Playful. Seductive.”

Page 2

Borders of the page are in black, to indicate this is a memory being shown

Panel 1: Extreme close up of a character smoking a blunt. Background of the panel has a similar grayscale ink wash to the first panel on the previous page. The narrator speaks, “This was our moment”.

An unseen character calls out to the person smoking, “Pass me that when you done!”

Panel 2: Extreme close up of two characters clinking a can of vodka soda in a cheer. The figure to the left says, “Cheers bitch!”, to which the other replies, “Yessss!”. The narrator says, “Shit, we got drunk, and danced with abandon to RENAISSANCE”, in reference to the Beyoncé album of the same name.

Panel 3: Three figures dance in the sand by the lake. We see only the hand of one figure, and the full body of the other two. One figure is partially naked, wearing a swimming suit, the other is clothed. The narrator continues, “We said ‘We gon’ fuck up the night!’. And we did.” The lyric being referenced is from the song CUFF IT.

Borders of the page are in black; the memory continues

Panel 1: Three characters are shown running towards the water. The narrator says, “With the moon watching over us, we sprint into the inky black abyss.”

Panel 2: A character, naked from the bottom, is removing their shirt. The lake water sits in front of them, reflecting the moon. The narrator goes, “We saw no need for clothes.”

Panel 3: Underwear is floating in the breeze. The narrator says, “Shit was a vibe.”

Panel 4: Four characters play and relax in the water. They all seem joyous, with 2 characters in the background playfully splashing each other. One character in the foreground rises up and spits out water like a fish. The other foreground character is peacefully floating. The narrator concludes the comic with, “We’ll never have this moment again. But I’m grateful for the memories.” The author’s initials are written on the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
