Secret Beach by Jamie Straw - Transcript

Panel one:  Two figures sit upon a rock outcropping staring at the foggy ocean.  It reads, “We can barely see the ocean beneath the fog.”  A figure wearing a purple jacket says, “Secret beach looks extra-secret in this mist.”

Panel two: There’s an island in the distance, a giant boulder jutting up from the sea.

Panel three:  A white pelican and other shore birds rock gently with the waves.

Panel four: Red seaweed litters the foggy beach.  The atmosphere is briny and breezy.

Panel five: A subtle taste of salt is present.  A figure wearing an electric blue jacket and mustard pants says, “It tastes like the ocean.”

Panel six:  A black and white oystercatcher leaves little footprints as it goes.  It reads, “I watch an oystercatcher scurry along the beach as I drift off for a nap.”
