Cover Page: Two silhouetted figures undress on a bright pink beach with a giant setting sun. Inside the sun it says “As the Day Comes Down.”

Page 1: A splash page top view of a nude couple cuddling in bed. The colors throughout the comic are a spectrum of pinks and blues. Mo, a Black trans masc with an undercut, holds Frankie, a taller white trans femme, and tells her “I wish we’d met when we were younger.”

Page 2:

Panel 1: Extreme close-up of the couple’s smiling lips, Frankie’s hands are on Mo’s cheek. Mo says, “In the city we could’ve moved slower.”

Panel 2: “Eased into knowing each other,” finishes Mo. The word “eased” is in cursive. Extreme close up on Mo’s hand caressing Frankie’s hand.

Panel 3: Close up on Frankie nuzzling Mo’s cheek. “Mmm… that sounds nice,” says Frankie.

Panel 4: The couple looks at each other sultrily. “What would we have done?” says Frankie.

Panel 5: A futuristic looking wave pool with a sunset projected onto the walls. Electrical panels are visible on one wall. People are playing in the water. The water is a deep purple, the walls are red, and the sun is pink. “We’d have gone to the ocean,” answers Mo, who is not in the panel.

Page 3:

Panel 1: Close up on the couple. Mo looks incredibly shocked or offended. Frankie looks mischievous. “The… ocean?” says Frankie.

Panel 2: Mo looks like they’re getting serious, Frankie is laughing. “Listen,” repeats in speech bubbles around the panel so it looks like Mo is saying, “Listen, listen, listen.” Frankie says quietly, “ha, ha, ha.”

Panel 3: The same close up on the couple. Now Mo is laughing, and Frankie looks endeared. “It was vast! It was wet!” says Mo in an emphatic speech bubble.

Panel 4: The same close up on the couple. Frankie says, “So after showing me the hologr-.” “Ocean,” interrupts Mo with their eyes closed.

Panel 5: The couple lean their heads together, touching foreheads. “After showing me the ocean,” Frankie says. Ocean is in bold lettering.

Panel 6: Slight zoom in on the couple once again making sultry eye contact. “Then what?” says Frankie.

Page 4:

Panel 1: A huge panel of a three tiered room with different biomes on each level. The bottom level looks like a jungle, the middle level looks like a desert, the top tier looks like a foggy forest. “I’d show you the greenhouse,” says Mo, who is not in the panel.

Panel 2: A vertical panel showing Frankie looking sad and to the right clutching her arms. Instead of viewing her from above, the audience is now seeing her from Mo’s perspective. “Oh… right,” Frankie says.

Panel 3: A vertical panel showing Mo looking sadly at Frankie. The audience is seeing Mo from Frankie’s perspective.

Panel 4: Another vertical panel from Frankie’s perspective where we see Mo face away from Frankie, except with their eyes still watching her. The panel background is a bright red. Mo says, “Wild we would’ve met if Wes hadn’t-”

Page 5:

Panel 1: A wider panel of Frankie yelling at Mo. Frankie’s emphatic speech bubble covers most of Mo’s face but we can still tell they are shocked. “Can you not?!” says Frankie.

Panel 2: A smaller panel where we only see Frankie’s reaction to her yelling at Mo. She looks sad.

Panel 3: A smaller panel where we only see Mo’s reaction to being yelled at by Frankie. Mo has turned on their side away from Frankie and looks really sad and upset.

Panel 4: A wider panel of Mo lying on their side. Frankie has put her hand on Mo’s arm. Mo has turned their head so the couple are making eye contact, both look sad. “I’m sorry,” says Frankie.

Panel 5: A mid-shot of Frankie holding Mo in the bottom right corner of a square panel. “I wish we’d met when we were older,” says Frankie. The speech bubble takes up most of the panel.

Panel 6: The couple unravel a bit to make eye contact, and look warm and friendly to each other again. “What would we do?” says Mo.

Page 6: A full page of more cartoonish doodles on a dark purple background with clouds and a meteor shower as background details. Zigzagging from upper left to the bottom: An elderly Mo and Frankie cook soup, hold hands while brushing their teeth, do aerobics stretches in a lake, and sit on chairs stargazing. A larger doodle centered in the middle bottom of the page is of Frankie biting Mo’s neck and Mo having a pleasurable reaction.

Page 7:

Panel 1: Close up of the couple. Mo is crying with laughter. Frankie is cartoonishly shocked. “Old people sex?” says Mo. “What?!” responds Frankie.

Panel 2: The first two thirds of the panel is taken up by a large text bubble. In the bottom third, Mo looks sultrily at Frankie explaining something with one finger in the air like an academic. She says, “70 year olds have the best sex out of any age demographic. As we age and life slows down, more time allows for us to expand and deepen our sexual relationships.”

Panel 3: A borderless panel of Mo and Frankie making sultry eye contact, their heads and shoulders floating in the page.

Panel 4: Another borderless panel. Frankie is going in for a kiss but Mo looks hesitant.

Panel 5: Frankie looks taken aback. Mo has turned to look away from Frankie, looking concerned. “I think,” Mo says.

Panel 6: Mo looks back at Frankie almost afraid of what they are saying. Now Frankie is looking away from Mo, like they know what Mo is about to say. “Maybe,” says Mo.
