Carly Shooster is a Jewish-American comics artist based in Gainesville, Florida. She tells stories across media about women, pain, and displacement. She is currently working on her graphic novel, Mamita, about being a daughter and mother in transformative historical moments. When she isn't working at Gainesville Fine Arts Association or teaching comics, she can be found rock climbing, riding her bike, or walking her dog.
