Interview with Dustin Garcia

  • What’s the first thing you do when you sit down to draw or write?

    • Do without erasing.

  • What is your favorite thing to draw? Least favorite? What’s the first thing you do when you sit down to draw or write?

    • I learn to make everything I draw my favorite by simply allowing my challenges to teach me.

  • How would you describe your comics?

    • My mind in the form of comic language. All my experiences, knowledge, and passion to share and inspire in return.

  • What are some comics you've read and loved recently?

    • @badhandcomics

    • Star Seeds 2 by Charles Glaubitz

  • What artists inspire you?

    • Those who do for health before wealth.

  • What do you do when you hit a creative rut?

    • Practice another way of expressing myself. It alchemizes the perfection itch into a fresh perspective of progress.

  • We hear you are kickstarting a graphic novel — tell us more!

    • It's a Central American odyssey about Walo. A migrant worker in search of a better life, and all the obstacles, and folklore creatures of the human experience. It's a project I'm deeply proud of as it has been a way to both contribute and educate myself of my ancestral roots. You can read the first chapter and pledge to us at : https://www.walocomic.com/
